Another motif taken from Greek mythology: the hellhound, Cerberus, standing guard by the entrance to Hades' kingdom. The red in the lower left corner is a bit of the river of woe, Acheron. I don't think it's actually supposed to be made of blood, but hey, red fit my colour scheme.

Daily DeviationGiven 2006-07-25Cerberus has always been one of my favorite mythology characters and this one that dwells On the Other Side, by ~tjernstrom, is nicely done. I like how it's done with a predominately white background giving the cave more light. I think it only makes the three headed beast even more frightening as it glares down at you.
